But Chantelle Houghton’s apparent awareness wasn’t enough to stop her venturing into a Nando’s restaurant during a shopping spree at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex.
The 29-year-old TV personality had originally stepped out to buy an affordable dress from chain-store Next – where she was spotted browsing through rails of clothing.

Indeed, the former Celebrity Big Brother winner looked good as she took a tour of the sprawling shopping centre before being drawn to another popular high-street chain – Nando’s.
Chantelle – who claims her weight has ballooned since the birth of daughter Dolly with former fiancé Alex Reid – made a beeline for the famous chicken restaurant, eventually leaving with two large bags of takeaway food and a couple of Cokes.

Writing for New, she said: ‘I went to buy a new dress last week and was shocked to discover I’ve gone from a size 10 to a size 14! It’s because of all the takeaways and junk food I’ve been eating.'
But while many girls would fret about their ballooning weight, Chantelle adopts a more relaxed attitude.

‘I’m not upset about it because I
don’t think dress size matters and I don’t weight myself, but my
stomach’s much bigger and so are my boobs!’ she said.
‘I’m not going to diet or start a strict exercise regime because throughout my career I’ve struggled to keep the weight off and I think I deserve a break.’
Chantelle also used her column to publicly criticise her ex for trying to sell the wedding ring from his marriage to Katie Price to Now magazine.
‘Alex astounds me…He says he wants closure, but he could have sold the ring privately if he neededthe money,’ she wrote, adding: ‘Why on earth would you sell your wedding ring to a magazine? Words literally fail me.’
Chantelle Houghton must be less clumsy than
we are. There's no way we'd be able to carry two drinks and a couple of
bags of take away Nandos without spilling it all over ourselves -
especially if we were wearing an all cream ensemble like her.
